I’m thrilled to share with you that the January/February edition of The Upper Room daily devotional features a Prayer Workshop that I wrote! It’s exciting not just because it’s my first published work, but also because it is an opportunity to introduce more people to the gift of praying with beads! Indeed, I have seen an enormous increase in visits to my blog from all over the world the past two weeks (if you are among our new visitors, welcome!)
You can read the workshop here: http://devotional.upperroom.org/issues/jan-feb2013/prayer_workshop
However, I would encourage you to purchase a copy of the devotional book. Since many churches – particularly Methodist churches – offer copies of The Upper Room on a regular basis, it may be that you can pick up a copy there. The brief daily devotions are always well written, thought-provoking, and wonderful ways to consider our life in God each day. Find out more at http://devotional.upperroom.org.
Kristen! Happy New Year!
Glad to see your devotion, but as a fellow blogger, please insert a line between paragraphs. I’ve had to learn that moving copy from one program to another sometimes doesn’t configure in the same way, and the old graphic designer in me is still confident that some white space helps give the ol’ eyes a ‘breather,’ to mix metaphors!
Congratulations, and keep up the great work!
Grace and joy,
Julie Halstead
Hey Julie!
Thanks for your comment. But I’m a little puzzled because on my iPad and my husband’s smart phone there are spaces between paragraphs! Like you, I’m always concerned about the aesthetics of what I’m writing.
I will say this is my first blog post using my iPad Mini, and it took me more than an hour to write that very short post because I encountered so many problems. It’s possible that the post didn’t come through the way I intended.
I’ll be home from vacation on Friday and will check it from my computer then.
Hope you’re doing we’ll!
Peace, Kristen
That’s where I found out about you! The prayers beads are just what I needed in my daily devotions. Thanks!
Wonderful! Thanks, Pamela!
