In honor of Trinity Sunday I was planning to repost my devotion on the Trinity that I had posted back on March 9th, 2010.  However, after reviewing it I decided to modify the prayer for the 4th Cruciform bead to focus on how the Triune God can serve as a model for our relationships.  I hope you find this new version meaningful.

Cross: In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Amen.

Invitatory Bead: Lord, be with me in this time of prayer.  Open my heart and mind to the presence of your son, Jesus Christ.  Guide my thoughts and words, and fill me with your Spirit.

1st Cruciform Bead: I pray to God the Father . . .

1st set of Week Beads: use each bead to praise God the Father (praise and thanks).

2nd Cruciform Bead: I pray to Jesus Christ, His only son, Our Lord . . .

2nd set of Week Beads: use each bead to ask Jesus Christ for forgiveness and help (confession and prayer concerns).

3rd Cruciform Bead: I pray to the Holy Spirit . . .

3rd set of Week Beads: use each bead to ask the Holy Spirit to work in and through you (i.e. praying to be a better disciple, to spend more time in prayer, to discern God’s will for you, etc.).

4th Cruciform Bead: I pray that I may better understand who God is and how the Trinity can serve as a model for my relationship with others . . .

4th set of Week Beads: use each bead to meditate on how the Trinity – God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit – can serve as a model for human relationships and for the church, celebrating the diversity of each member while coming together in perfect union.

Invitatory Bead: recite The Lord’s Prayer

Cross: In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Amen.
