I’m so thrilled to announce that I will be leading workshops at SOULfeast again this year!  In fact, for the first time I’ll be offering a 3-day morning workshop on prayer beads.  Three days!  It will be great to have plenty of time to explore the history and art of prayer beads, make your own set, and practice a variety of ways of using them.  I’m also very excited about leading an afternoon workshop on prayer beads for family devotions.  My husband and son will be joining me in leading this workshop.  It will be a wonderful opportunity for families to make their own prayer beads and learn how to use them together.  Lastly, I’ll also be leading one regular afternoon workshop, similar to what I did last year.

SOULfeast is a wonderful spiritual retreat sponsored by The Upper Room.  It takes place in gorgeous Lake Junaluska, NC from July 8 – 12, 2012.  The keynote speaker will be Rob Fuquay.  Here is a brief bio about him from the SOULfeast website:

“We are delighted to have Rev. Rob Fuquay join us as we look at the “I AM…” sayings of Jesus. Rob currently serves as senior pastor to St. Luke’s UMC in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Prior to that, he was the senior pastor of Williamson’s Chapel United Methodist Church in Mooresville, NC.

Rob says, “As I study Jesus I see someone who sought to show grace to all people . . . and I want to be a part of a church that models that . . . a church that cares about reaching beyond its own community and impacting the world with hope.”  While Rob has admitted to having a silly side, he takes worship and preaching very seriously, spending the first hours of his day focusing on those tasks.”

I would love to see you there!
